Special notes

In Valle Talloria in Diano d'Alba, the Giordano family have been producing a wide selection of classic wines since 1900. The company was founded by Ferdinando Giordano, grandfather of the current president of the company, and then taken over later by his son Giovanni. In the early 1950's, thanks to Giuseppe and Ferdinando Giordano's entrepreneurial spirit (respectively Giovanni's brother and son), a small family business turned into a dynamic operation and product quality improved considerably. The concept, which is to expand direct sales to private customers in new and innovative ways by using marketing such as direct mail and distance selling, turnsout to be a great success. In recent years, the company has grown tremendously: its position in the domestic market has consolidatedand export capabilities have increased considerably. In addition, the introduction of wines from other regions in Italy has extended their current range of wines already on offer. Today, a leader in direct wine sales, Giordano's company is among the largest wineproducers in Italy. Despite its growth, the company has retained the charm of a family business. In a century, four generations have been constantly pursuing the same goal: preserving the tradition and philosophy of the company while ensuring customer satisfaction.
