Degustation notes

Pale yellow colour, a delicate nose that opens on floral scents, with hints of yeast and mineral notes, citrus freshness on the attack, well balanced acidity; a fresh and powerful Swiss white wine.

Special notes

The Neuchatel vineyard covers 612 hectares. It has been proven that wine was already being produced as early as the time of the Romans. The first certified mention of a wine-growing culture in Neuchâtel is included in the founding document of the Bevaix Priory. The wine-growing area extends over 30 km along the shores of Lake Neuchâtel. Whites constitute 60% of the wine production. Besides the main Chasselas grape, Chardonnay is also grown, Pinot Gris and Riesling-Silvaner. 36% of the vineyard area is reserved for red, the only grape admitted is Pinot Noir. The municipality of Auvernier has 70 hectares of vineyard, mainly Chasselas. The Château d'Auvernier, with its 26 hectares, has been owned by the Grosjean family since 1603.

    Le meilleur vin blanc de la région! - Ce vin est délicieux ! A condition de ne pas être amateur de vin blanc sec comme le chasselas. Ce vin est frais et fruité, il se déguste bien froid avec n'importe quel type d'apéro/entrée. Testé également avec du foie gras, le top! Le Pinot Gris proposé par la même cave est également très bon.

    bof - Perlant, bouche âcre peu agréable. Je préfère largement le chasselas de la Cave Saint-Sébaste

    Ein Chasselas für alle Gelegenheiten - Ein milder Sommerabend am Neuenbugersee, genauer auf einem kleinen Platz im Kern des Städtchens Auvernier. Vor uns steht auf dem Tisch ein Rechaud, gleich bringt der Kellner ein Käsefondue. Unsere Vorfreude darauf wird durch ein Glas Chasselas gesteigert. Und mit dem Château d’Auvernier Neuchâtel blanc AOC fahren wir dann gleich weiter. Auch der Jahrgang 2012 macht sich gut zum Apéro, zu Fisch oder eben zu Fondue. Ein wahrlich unkomplizierter, lebendiger und frischer Begleiter.
